Born and bred in New York’s Finger Lakes region, Siobhain and Ian envisioned a wedding in the place they loved most, so they landed on an Upstate New York Country Club Wedding!

They currently live in the historic town of Corning, New York, so this beautiful area just made sense for celebrating their marriage!! They chose the Corning Country Club, a place that holds a ton of sentimental value for each of them… they are both huge golfers, making it such a special location. 🥹

Siobhain and Ian are a fun, yet laid back couple who both have a passion for the outdoors!

They love hiking and enjoying the natural beauty of Upstate New York, and on any given weekend, you could probably find them enjoying quality time in the beautiful finger lakes region. We actually did their engagement session at Garrett Chapel at Keuka Lake State Park, which you can view here. 👀 Both Siobhain and Ian are graduates of RIT, so a massive group of alumni friends joined them to celebrate their new marriage, and let me tell you, it was a true PARTY!

The vision they had for their day was a colorful, floral, indoor/outdoor wedding, but unfortunately the weather held other plans.

The impending rain forced them to move their ceremony inside, but even under the circumstances, their day turned out so beautiful. They were able to bring so much life INSIDE the club, incorporating touches of pink and peach florals into their wedding decor and decorating each table setting with a flowering plant arrangement as their seating chart. Barnstead Farmstead of Horseheads did such an incredible job bringing this vision to life with her genius florals.

Siobhain and Ian maintained such a positive attitude, despite torrential downpours 👀 and thankfully, we were able to steal some sunlight during a gorgeous pocket of golden hour!

Siobhain and Ian’s wedding reminded me how important it is to have a solid timeline (check out my blog post on the importance of a solid timeline, HERE!) , but one that is flexible enough to accommodate for last minute changes that the weather throws at us! (This is especially true living in Upstate New York… IYKYK 😉)

Overall, Siobhain and Ian’s Upstate New York Country Club Wedding was such a beautiful day.

With so many incredible moments during their first look, an irish hand-fastening, a delicious golden hour, and then an epic dance floor, their day was one for the books! It’s worth mentioning that I was also 6 months pregnant at their wedding 👀 so hired an assistant for an extra set of hands… between myself, my second shooter, and my assistant, we walked away with >11k photos from the day! 🤯
