I wish I could fully express how much I LOVE Gigi and Alex, and how much I LOVE the magic we were able to make during their Intimate Engagement Session at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, Florida.
From the beginning, we immediately hit it off, and I love that the cornerstone of their wedding will be their vibrant faith. Gigi and Alex are making so many intentional, thoughtful choices for their wedding, including a team of Christian wedding vendors, and that's one of the reasons they resonated so deeply with my work! They share my vision of glorifying God through my artwork, and I respect them so much for anchoring their wedding on their deepest held beliefs. Gigi is a big-time attorney and Alex is in environmental conservation, and together, they truly share such a unique and fun connection. While they met in high-school, they didn’t connect on a deeper level until college. Now they have been together for 4+ years, and they give all the glory to God for bringing them together in His perfect timing!

Needless to say, Alex and Gigi flew me out to Miami for their intimate engagement session, and we had the time of our lives!
Because Miami is home for these two, it was important to them to do their photos in a place so near and dear to their heart. We landed on Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden as the location, since that is where they got engaged, and it was SUCH a breathtaking location.
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens (FTBG) encompasses about 83 acres, and it’s teeming with tropical plants, palms, cycads, brilliant flowering trees, and creeping, crawling vines for daysssss. The garden was actually designed to conserve tropical plants from extinction, and I got a whole lesson from Alex on the wildlife there. 😉 Not only is FTBG known for its conservation efforts, but its natural beauty has set it apart as a premiere wedding venue in Florida.
FTBD has varying options for indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, all of which include a killer backdrop, and it’s literally impossible to go wrong with your vision there.
They also have a Lakeside Marquee Tent & Pandanus Lake Lawn, which boasts a gorgeous sunset view, as well as an intimate reception area in their Glass House Cafe & Patio. With a guest capacity of 375 people, this special venue is a no brainer for the large, luxurious wedding.
While at their engagement session, we talked all-things faith, family, careers, and shared so many laughs. even though it was March, it was sooo HOT out, and we were all profusely sweating... especially because FTBG is HUGE, which means a TOooN of walking! 👟😂
Gigi and Alex are now planning a destination wedding for their closest friends and family at the Highgrove Estate in Fuquay-Varina, NC. They have the most special group joining them for their day, and it will be such a vibrant celebration filled with deep faith, closeknit community, and a deep love for music!
Sadly, I will be on maternity leave for their wedding 😫 but I have a dear friend working as an associate photographer for their day, and I can’t wait to live vicariously through her lens that day!
