IMAGINE THIS:
A world where you had a
one-in-a-million connection with your wedding photographer?!
You’re able to love your person unabashedly –
all in front of a camera?! Queue Emilee.
My commitment is to make you feel more comfortable than a big bear hug on a slow Sunday. Relaxed.
You deserve a photography experience where your personality shines through and your love speaks for itself.
This is cultivated through an honest and vibrant relationship with your photographer!
MY FORMULA:
natural prompts + upbeat atmosphere – stiff poses
= authentic, artful, truthful images
I desire to meet my clients in the real, in the raw, and in the transparent because it’s there, in that space of vulnerability, where the beauty and intimacy of a wedding can truly be captured.
The truth is that love is profound, complex,
and so much more than a feeling.
It is grace, compromise, change, and growth, and as Timothy Keller puts it so well:
“Marriage is glorious, but it’s hard. It’s a burning joy and strength, and it’s also blood, sweat, and tears.
It’s painful, yet wonderful.”
It’s because marriage is so fiercely beautiful and personal
that I prioritize an intimate environment with all of my clients.
It’s this level of vulnerability that gives you the space to be yourself, and me the space
to celebrate your love story in an authentic way.
Through mutual honesty, I will create meaningful and magical images, translating your wedding day into tangible treasures –
imagery that will move you to remember, feel, and cherish your marriage story now and always.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based and how does travel work?
I’m based in Upstate NY, but I love traveling! (One of the best perks of the job!) US-based travel is included in my package price, but if you are planning an international destination wedding, I’m happy to provide a custom quote for you!
How does payment work?
I require a non-refundable retainer fee (equal to 50% of the total fee) to reserve my date and time for your wedding, and the final balance is due six weeks prior to the Wedding Date! I prefer payment via bank transfer (no bank fees 😉), but can accept credit card, Venmo, or PayPal!
How long until the photos are ready?
I provide sneak peeks within 24-48 hours, and final galleries are available for weddings within three months and for all other sessions within two weeks. I’ll send the final files via an online gallery.
How many images will we get?
It varies with every session... I provide 50+ images from engagement/portrait sessions, 300+ for elopements, and 500+ for most weddings. Either way, I promise to never leave out the good stuff ;) – the in-between, emotional, ooey gooey detail stuff that make your story so beautiful!
What type of files do you provide?
I provide JPEGs – the final, hi-res, edited images. If you want to know a little secret, it’s my editing process that really makes my magic. I only provide the final JPEGs because I pour my heart and soul into the edits, and it’s only when I’m done that the images look, feel, and emote as they do. Trust me on this one! ;)
How do you deliver the final pics?
I deliver all images through an online gallery where you can view, download, and print the images. The link is mobile friendly and can be shared with family and friends so they can view the images, too!
If we get a second shooter, who will it be?
I’m fortunate to call so many amazing creatives and photographers friends of mine, so lots of second shooters that I frequently work with! It all depends on your day, time, and event as to who I’m able to secure – but I promise they’ll be professional, reliable, and super fun for your day! :)
What if we need to cancel or reschedule our wedding?
If your wedding is rescheduled and I’m available for the new wedding date, I’ll rollover already paid monies and the contract to your new date. However, if the wedding is cancelled or I’m unavailable, the deposit fee is nonrefundable. In that scenario, I’d be happy to provide you with a list of other photographers that I can gladly recommend.
What if we need to reschedule our shoot due to weather?
If the weather is really bad, then we can definitely reschedule… but 9 times out of 10, I encourage my clients to be open-minded about embracing the weather as an adventure! Some of my favorite shoots have been done in the craziest elements, and they can make your shoot all the more beautiful and memorable!
