Siobhain and Ian's engagement shoot at Garrett Chapel near Keuka Lake State Park was nothing short of a fairytale.

The charming, castle-like chapel set against the vibrant, summertime greenery of Upstate NY was out of the pages of a story book, and we wandered around the beautiful grounds for the better part of an hour taking in the stunning views of Keuka Lake.

Growing up near the park, Keuka Lake has always held a special place in Ian’s heart. And now with his parents having a home there, he and Siobhain visit often for weekend trips and summer staycations. It was a no brainer to do their engagement shoot at Keuka Lake, and Garrett Chapel was the perfect place to capture the one-of-a-kind tranquility of the finger lakes region.

Garrett Chapel, known to locals as the Little Chapel on the Mount, is a beautiful gothic style church set in a wooded area of the bluff overlooking the lake, and it strikes the perfect balance between medieval and rustic. It is tucked away on a hillside and surrounded by towering trees, hedge-lined walkways, and lush ferns… not to mention sweet splashes of lavender lilacs.

Upstate NY has a special way of gaining the admiration of any onlooker, but Garrett Chapel is a one-of-a-kind gem that truly makes you PAUSE, look around, and appreciate the raw, unadulterated beauty of the finger lakes region.

Between the stonework, stained glass windows, rambling pathways, and unfiltered views of the lake, this quaint chapel set the tone for a timeless, romantic engagement shoot at Keuka Lake State Park for Siobhain and Ian.
