Matt and Brianna
Brianna reached out to me last month about an anniversary shoot (7 years!) and I hardly blinked before I could get out a big ‘yes!’
Watching their love story bloom has been one of the most beautiful things. Not only 1) was their wedding one of the first that I ever shot (see screenshots below 😊), but also 2) as my pastor and pastor’s wife, I have literally watched their bond, marriage, and family grow firsthand – through the good times and bad. Their transparency and vulnerability has been so admirable to me, which made me extra excited to share their story through these close, intimate images!
This was the message I got from Brianna: “We haven't had a shoot together since our wedding. It's our 7 year wedding anniversary this year (together for 13 years total), and the past 3 years have been the hardest of our marriage/relationship: seminary with kids, kids not sleeping, becoming lead pastor, a miscarriage, etc. And it feels like our marriage has been put through the crucible, especially over this past year... but we are stronger and closer to God and one another because it, by God's keeping grace. I want these pictures to be a testament to that. I want to remember God's faithfulness in the hardest seasons of our lives and how He used them to strengthen our marriage.”
