Lakeside Microwedding in Nashville, Tennessee || Erica and Brad
I have had the pleasure of knowing Erica for over 10 years, our history of lifelong friendship made her lakeside microwedding in Nashville, Tennessee all the sweeter.
On April 1, Erica married her best friend, her champion, and her soulmate, and I am still dabbing my eyes from allllll the feels that day. I had only recently gotten to know her forever love, Brad, but from our brief friendship, I could tell that he anchored Erica, pointed her to Christ, and was a shoulder even in the hardest of times. I am so thankful that Erica found such a Godly, steadfast man, and that I was able to celebrate their marriage and tell their love story in Nashville, Tennessee.

Over the last decade, Erica and I have faced so many highs and lows together. From cross-country moves, international missions trips, seasons of heartbreak, illness, suffering, loss, and crazy entrepreneurial leaps, there has always been one common cord that has always held us together: our faith in Jesus Christ.
Erica and I came from completely different backgrounds, but when our paths crossed in 2012 (which is earliest we can remember talking because literally can't remember how we met lol!) we became inseparable. She committed her life to Christ only shortly before that point, and as a new Christian, her love and passion for the gospel was contagious. Having grown up myself in a Christian household, I actually was wrestling with doubts and questions of my own, so we bonded over our now-shared faith and tackled our questions together. From there, and with a mutual love of board games, we were destined to be best friends. ;)
Years later and now separated by over 800 miles, we're still sO close and have WATERED our self-proclaimed "bosom FRIENDSHIP" (Shameless brag on Anne of Green Gables 👀)
When Erica called me to tell me that she was engaged, I immediately was dying to photograph her lakeside microwedding in Nashville, Tennessee. Her vision for a fun, faith-filled day was exactly what she created. Working with the team at Lighthouse on the Lake, she planned a beautiful, lakefront microwedding with people attending all the way from New York, Missouri, Tennessee, and more. That's just the type of person that Erica is: someone who gravitates with people everywhere she does, like an electric force of gravity. Her bright spirit and upbeat energy is magnetic.
I was TRULY SO THRILLED to TELL HER AND BRAD’S LOVE STORY, work with her AMAZING bridal party, and COLLABORATE WITH OTHER Christian wedding vendors, all of whom were a TOTAL joy to work with!
The day turned out to be an absolute blast, and it was such an honor to celebrate the real meaning of Erica and Brad's marriage with such dear friends: Christ's love for the church! (Not to mention, doing so under the Tennessee sunshine when the New York climate still was only 30 degrees. 🫠)
I’M SO THANKFUL I WAS ABLE to create a visual narrative for my dear bosom friend's lakeside microwedding in Nashville.
I feel so blessed that I can travel cross-country not just to tell love stories and connect with such sweet friends - old and new - but to really celebrate marriage and the deep cosmic meaning it holds - redemption, hope, and unshakeable love for humanity. Here's to Erica and Brad and their every happiness as they tackle each new adventure together as husband and wife. You two are the biggest blessing to me!
