Intimate Couple's Photoshoot in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee || Lindsey and Jesse
I had the amazing opportunity to visit tennessee this month and do an intimate couple’s Photoshoot in downtown nashville with lindsey and jesse. talk about dreamy!!
This trip was definitely a bucket list destination for me. And while I was in Nashville, I knew I wanted to make the most of my trip and book an intimate couple’s photoshoot in Downtown Nashville during one of my days off. I connected with Lindsey on Instagram the week of (talk about spontaneous 👀) and asked her if she and Jesse would be up for a couple’s photoshoot; her response was a resounding “HECK YES!”
From the moment we met, we formed an instant friendship… they were so down-to-earth, fun, and laid-back, and their session quickly turned into one of my favorite intimate couple’s sessions to date! We resonated on sooo many levels, including our Christian faith, marriage, kids, entrepreneurship, love for travel, and passion for life. And as a Christian wedding photographer who treasures the gospel above all else, their testimony to God’s faithfulness was truly so encouraging. Even though our photoshoot started IN THE RAIN, it ended with sunny blue skies and we had an absolute BLAST exploring Downtown Nashville, Tennessee!
REAL TALK THOUGH, LET’S TALK ABOUT THIS POWERHOUSE COUPLE… Lindsey has the most amazing online platform, known as Living Easy with Lindsey.
The platform is dedicated to all-things marriage and intimacy. Lindsey creates resources for Christian couples to strengthen their emotional, physical, spiritual, and sexual connection (LITERALLY AMAZING!!!) and she has sooo much amazing content on her blog, podcast, email list, and Instagram. I’m personally in the process of working my way through her Intimacy course with Jon, and it is pure gold! Topics of conversation include marriage, sex, faith, dating, hard truths, and the gospel, and her main goal is to help other couples deepen their faith and relationship. Because I’m so passionate about Christian wedding photography, I literally cannot think of a better, more invaluable mission. Speaking personally, her course is already proving to be invaluable to Jon and me!
With being so aligned with so many of her values (and her seeming like the cutest, and most fun human being on the face of the planet!) I reached out and asked if she and Jesse would be up for an spur-of-the-moment couple’s session with me… the rest is history!
Their connection, outfits, and entire vibe melded perfectly with my vision for an intimate couple’s photoshoot with the urban backdrop of Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. We started the session at “The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge” in Downtown Nashville, which was formerly known as the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge connects Downtown Nashville to the residential suburbs of east Nashville. During this portion of the session, we photographed the skyline and the stunning tunnel view of the bridge. (Tap to the end of this Instagram highlight for some insane before and after’s. 👀) Afterward, we walked across the bridge into Downtown Nashville for some streetside action.
The hustle and bustle of Broadway Street, the booming music in and out of restaurants, and the charming cobblestone streets met and exceeded all of my expectations of "Nashville proper."
As someone who had never been before, I was totally enamored with the honkey tonk bars, the throngs of brides and bachelorette parties in pink cowboy boots, the countless streetside food vendors, and the lively hubbub of the city that was definitely rightly nicknamed, The Music City.
The most incredible thing about Lindsey and Jesse was that even though they have so much wisdom and clout in the world of marriage and intimacy, they were truly sooo fun and easy to work with. They were 100% models of the topic that they sell to their audience: LOVE. Their dynamic was pure, care-free, authentic, and so joyful, which made posing, prompting, and photographing them sooo easy- not to mention, an absolute dream. The way they spoke to one another, interacted together, and embraced each other... it was truly like photographing two best friends. I love how they were able to be vulnerable together in front of my camera, sharing about the ups and downs of their marriage, their current season of parenting, the transition of their move to Tennessee, etc. Working with them reminded me all over again why I'm such a HUGE advocate of creating experiences for intimate couple’s photoshoots like theirs. Overall, my photoshoot with Lindsey and Jesse was the cherry on top of an already wonderful trip to Nashville… and it ended with gyros, so there’s that. 🙈
The getaway to a beautiful, new city, the friendship of this precious couple, and the opportunity to savor a getaway was, for this stay-at-home Mama, truly priceless. The images we created from this intimate couple’s photoshoot in Downtown Nashville will always be a favorite of mine, and I will never stop appreciating the spontaneous adventures that this career affords me as a Christian wedding photographer! Praise the Lord!
